Okay, so I admit I'm the clean freak in the family. I don't mind playing in the sand and getting dirty. I don't mind getting dirty, in general, but, for some reason, making a big mess can get a little under my skin. All this to say that I was not present at the time of these photos being taken. Les told me that she had to shower and change her own clothes after their little ice cream sandwich adventure. Oh, Rachel took a bath too.

Since I hadn't had my fill of outdoor activities with the hike in the morning, we went to the Ferry Landing on Coronado Island. Leslie had planned a terrific outing for our Sunday school class ("Journey Home"). We were invited to come play in the sand and relax and eat the cookies you saw in an earlier post.

The Royal Rangers group from our church went on a hike around the Mission Trails Regional Park. We started at 9-ish a.m. and finished up about 11 a.m. It was pretty warm by the end of the hike. I took Elijah, Rebekah and Joanna, and blessed Chica with some quiet time at home while the baby napped. We all had a great time!
