Snacky Dinner

by MADCookie 25. August 2006 08:34
To make it easier on everyone so the kids and I could make cookies together, I served them what we call a "snacky dinner". This time it was cheese, whole wheat bagels, raisins, and a cinnamon-raisin bagel with peanut butter on top.

Look Closely! It's Not What You Think

Situation: Leslie and I were upstairs doing something terrific (I don't remember what it was, but I bet it was something holy and righteous). Joanna came upstairs looking like the pictures below. Les and I were very concerned, but Joanna was not acting like her face is all scraped up.

This is the result of Joanna playing with red sidewalk chalk!

Caught -- Reading?!

by MADCookie 23. August 2006 08:15
The boy is driving us crazy: he keeps reading the books that are supposed to be above his grade level--that we're supposed to read aloud to Rebekah & him! He's already read all the books scheduled for the rest of the school year, and it's not even one month into our term! Sigh. I guess it's a good problem to have!
