Family Camp Out with Royal Rangers

Over the weekend of 2/27-3/1, our Royal Ranger outpost sponsored a family campout. They provided all the gear for food and the families brought their sleeping needs. We camped in Mission Trails Regional Park in Santee.

Before getting the tent up. Leslie did all the work on setting up the house. Mike was helping with the outpost's kitchen.

Leaking Pipe

This post spans several days. It started before 2/13, but finally came to an end 2/23.

This is how it started. Water on the floor in the outside closet under the hot water heater.

This is a picture directly under the hot water heater. The heater is on a 2' stand.

Outside wall to the heater. Hard to see it in the picture, but there is a water fall coming down the concrete lip.

Surgery has begun. Mike is cutting away rotted wood to expose the copper pipes.

The leak was in the concrete. Water was coming up the plastic sleave and emptying in our closet. We paid to have a detection company find our pipes and locate the exact leak. Praise God it was outside. Our plumber simply jack-hammered into the concrete to lay a replacement pipe.
