Waterballon Birthday Party

Elijah was invited to his friend's birthday party. Seeing that the guests were mainly boys, the hosts had a waterballon event.

Tea Party

For Joanna's birthday, she wanted a tea party. Her little friends got all dressed up & came over to celebrate her 6th birthday.

Here Mike is showing off the cupcakes he made, but he also made the teeny tiny PB "tea sandwiches".

Joanna was very happy to have received a new Webkinz -- a chickadee.

Anza-Borrego for Mike's Birthday

We went to Anza-Borrego as part of Mike's birthday celebration

Mike is thrilled it is his birthday weekend.

Leslie loves Mike! She wants to be just like him with a screwy colored photo. As you can see the PowerShot A95 has seen its last days.

Nature girl Joanna stopped frequently to enjoy everything God made for us. We could all learn from her appreciate of the beauty.

Rachel was a super trooper! She is the youngest, but we could all learn from her for not stopping & giving up.

At one point, Rebekah took it upon herself to teach the family.

In the background, you can see the palm groove "oasis". This is the end of the trail. The people are walking next to a little stream of water.

This is as far as we got. Over those big rocks is the palm oasis, but there is water here, so it is time to stop.

Happy Birthday Mike

I am on the downward slope to 40. I am now 36 years old. WOW!

I celebrated the magically day with a hot dinner date with my incredible wife. We ate at El Torrito where I had the highly recommend carne asada platter. Saved ourselves for dessert because, at home, we were going to have some friends over for brownies and ice cream.

In my seasoned years, I no longer go for cake for my birthday. Oh no! I want the Ghirardelli double-chocolate brownies with my homemade ganache topping.
