Our last stop for Saturday's activities was the Colorado River at 2nd Ave. Blythonians will know what that means. This was the hangout when Leslie was in high school, and Leslie showed Mike this place while they were dating. All the cattails were not there 12 years ago. It used to be a nice little beach right on the river...not so much anymore!

Les's Dad received a gas powered go-cart and wanted his grandkids to ride it. While visiting the Intaglios earlier in the day, we tried to ride the cart nearby, but it was too bumpy--the chain kept falling off. On the way to the diversion dam and the River at 2nd Ave, we found a sort of smooth dirt area to use the cart.

Looks like all the pictures we got were of the adults. We took video of the kids on the cart, but Mike will need more time to process the video.

No one really knows who made this drawings in the desert floor outside of Blythe. Mike & Les visited these when they were first dating, but Mike wasn't able to see any because it was raining. 12 years later, the whole family visited, including "Nana & Nano" (Leslie's parents).
