We went to the park yesterday for a picnic lunch, to allow the kids to play & visiting parents enjoy the San Diego sunshine. After we ate, the kids ran off to play. I was in the grass feeding the baby when I heard Rebekah whimpering and crying. I turned to see my daughter covered in sand from head to foot. Come to find out, she was crossing the monkey bars, which is a new skill for her (and she was doing very well until now), when she slipped off the bars and fell to the ground. She stated, "I was swinging back and forth, back and forth for the next bar, and I missed it." Her fall to the ground fractured her
humerus.
She is okay. Rebekah is a very strong girl. We are extremely proud of her. She is currently in a sling and she has to keep her arm immobile for a MONTH! Please pray that this very active little girl will follow the instructions of the doctor and allow her arm to heal correctly.

Rebekah has proven this fracture will not stop her from being silly -- here's her dramatic "I'm in so much pain" look!
