We made our 2nd annual trip to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, this time taking along some friends & meeting Leslie's parents there. It was a gorgeous day--clear blue sky & 60 degrees. Remember that you can click on any photo to see an enlarged version.

First we went to the Visitor Center, which is excellent. We found these little critters on top...

I think we have a pic of each of our kids at some Gift Shop or another, plopped on the floor with a book! (This one is Rachel, with Leslie standing attentively nearby.) I guess there are worse things they could be doing!

The kids used an innovative way of carrying our lunch to the picnic area

After lunch, we drove to an area called "The Slot" to go hiking. Here we are heading down into the canyon with our friends

It was amazing how high up the canyon walls these kids could get!

We had a wonderful time, and ended with eating our traditional Julian apple pie, enjoyed by all!
